We took Grayson to his first party this weekend. Some of our friends had a birthday for their little boy who was turning one and they invited Grayson and us of course. It was at a park and luckily the weather was perfect. We ordered some baby sunglasses for Grayson to hopefully make his outdoor experiences more bearable. He did pretty good with them! He didn't try to take them off and he didn't clench his eyes shut quite as much, so it seems they were successful. If nothing else he looks quite handsome.
Here's the birthday boy, AJ, with his daddy. The theme was the story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and his mom even made him the shirt he was wearing. It was such a cute idea and she did a really good job with all the decorations. All the kids and adults alike had a good time.
We wanted to see how Grayson would do with grass and he didn't seem to mind at all, he even pulled some up. We are so lucky, he is a very easy going baby. I am so glad he inherited that from his father instead of getting my spazzy nature.
There was a caterpillar tunnel to crawl through and here the kids were having "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" read to them. It was so cute. Grayson was more interested in taking a nap.
